Neat Image is a noise reduction plug-in designed to reduce visible noise and grain in photographic images produced by digital cameras and scanners. Neat Image is indispensable in low-light (indoors, night, astro) and high-speed (sport, action) photography. Neat Image efficiently reduces high ISO noise produced by image sensors of digital cameras, film grain visible in scanned images, JPEG artifacts. Version 4.2 better supports metadata in images produced by new Nikon digital cameras Nikon D80, D2Hs, D2Xs and more. Neat Image now works better with many Canon cameras (more accurate reading of ISO values in Auto mode). Noise profiling has been improved: Auto Profile now selects better areas for noise analysis producing higher-quality profiles. Also, several bugs have been corrected.
