Orator is a small application used to convert typed text into a sound file. The application is very simple and uses only one window. Type, paste, or drag text to the window, pick a voice and save the text to a file. Orator can also read text aloud. Create custom system beeps. Save articles off the web and transfer to your iPod. Use iTunes to convert the AIFF files to mp3's. Share and stream with your friends! Version 2.0 added support for speech rate and relative volume. Now uses the metal theme.
