Mac OS 9.0.4 is the latest update for the Macintosh operating system for all computers that are compatible with Mac OS 9. It provides additional FireWire and USB support, enhances networking and power management, and improves audio, video, and graphics functionality. Note: After installing Mac OS 9.0.4 on an iMac DV (Slot Loading), Power Mac G4, or PowerBook (FireWire) computers, it is necessary to install Apple DVD Player 2.2. Palm users: This update interferes with the Palm desktop and prevents HotSyncing between your Palm organizer and desktop Mac. For more information refer to the Palm inc. site.
